The Philip & Judith Rogers Scholarship Fund

The Philip & Judith Rogers Scholarship Fund

The Philip & Judith Rogers Scholarship fund was established in 2018 after the passing of Philip Rogers. Philip was one who believed in community, and most passionately about the children and young adults that lived there. On any given day, you would find him taking them to events, teaching them about car mechanics, imparting wisdom from his military experience as a former U.S. Marine, or just reaching out to ask about their day. Judith, with the guidance of her Pastor, Rev. Marlon C. Mack, Sr., wanted to continue Philip’s legacy of support and encouragement by establishing a scholarship fund in his honor.

The Philip & Judith Rogers Scholarship Fund provides financial support (after graduating high school) to young adults residing in the communities of NWI. Assisting our youth and giving them a head start with their education shows the love and support of their community, which is what Philip’s life’s work was all about.

Scholarships of various kinds provide financial support for students working toward a college degree or trade certificate on their journey into adulthood. Scholarships go further than traditional financial aid, such as loans, because they do not have to be paid back. The funds from the Philip & Judith Rogers Scholarship enables students to obtain the education they may not have otherwise had access to. They reward deserving students with the ability to afford higher education and have better quality of life journeys.

Help us reach our goal of $10,000!

This will assist us in awarding several scholarships to deserving high school graduates in our community!
