Rev. Marlon C. Mack, Sr.
Marlon C. Mack, Sr. was born in Dallas, TX and raised in Gary, IN. Educated in the Gary Community School Corporation, he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1991.
He answered the call to preach in 1994 when he was licensed by the Van Buren MB Church in Gary, IN, where he served as a Pastoral Associate until 1997.
In 1995, while attending Sue Bennett College in London, KY, he served as Interim Pastor of the Mill Street Baptist Church. In 1997, he began serving as the Youth Minister at the New Community Baptist Church in Hammond, IN.
In 2002, Pastor Mack served as the Minister of Christian Education of the Pilgrim MB Church in Gary, IN, until he was called to serve as Senior Pastor here at Sweet Home.
In addition to his duties at Sweet Home, our Pastor has offered leadership in the following capacities:
- Baptist Minister’s Conference of Gary & Vicinity (General Secretary, 2nd Vice President, 1st Vice President)
- Fellowship Council of Baptist Ministers (Vice President, President)
- Indiana Brotherhood MB District Association (1st Vice President and President of the Congress of Christian Education)
- General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Indiana, Inc. (General Secretary)
- The Ecclesia, Inc. (Founder & General Overseer)
